UDAAN 2023

Udaan..The annual sports day for Grade 3 to 11 was celebrated by Manaskriti on 4 February 2023, when the spirited youthfulness of the students is exhibited. 

The program began with the welcome of the chief guest by Headmistress Ms. Vijaya Sethi. The chanting of “0m bhur Bhuva swah”  and an entertaining kawali by the choir group Greeted the guests followed by a short presentation ceremony, whereby our chief guests were  felicitated by Principal Ms.Jyoti Bhalla with potted plants and paintings by Manaskriti minds in  the true Manaskriti style. 

In the true spirit of sport, the event began with the lighting of the torch held proudly by the school sports captain and a crisp march past by the students representing the vibrant earthy colours Red, green, blue and yellow, of their respective houses “Palash”, Kairi, Azrakh and kesar. After the oath taking ceremony initiated by the Headmistress, the Sports day was declared open by our Chief guest with the release of a colourful bunch of balloons.

The cultural events that followed filled the afternoon with a riot of colours and flavour. keeping in mind the the theme “UDAAN “the highlights of the events were the pyramid formation, Suryanamaskar on the soothing notes of “Om Namath Shivaay”. The studenents took this opportunity to update the yearly school diary to our guests  highlighting the various events the students have participated in and the names of the winning participants flaunted, they then invited the school head boy to the podium who updated the guests with the glorious feathers earned by the school as it received the best innovative experiential school award and a 5 star rating award by MSME, CED India for the year 2022 followed by the principal of Manaskriti being honoured with the most innovative principal award  at the national excellence award 2023.

our two chief guests was also a delight to have with us as special guest of honour, Mr. Singhraj Adhana, a well-known Indian paralympian and shooter who has won 24 medals while representing India in international shooting and Mr. Devershee Sachan, an international level paraathlete, interior designer, and life member of the Indian Red Cross Society who has won 28 National and International medals,. The inspiring speech given by them-was not only the story of hardships that they had to face but also a  teaching for the children about how perseverance, determination and hardwork always paves the way to success.

Parents too got into the “Josh” when the principal, Ms. Jyoti Bhalla mam, beckoned them to rise up, juggle their hands, and get ready for the sporting competitions. Of course, as tiny feet sprinted, leaped, and crawled to the finish line, the sporting activities sparked the interest of all the parents. 

All yearly school competitions, including games, races, and other activities, were overall won by Kesar house by a majority score. The student dance performance that spoke against keeping animals in cages and the spirited races were the day’s highlights.

The event came to a close with Ms. Jyoti Bhalla thanking parents for helping our students’ journey become successful.
