School Activity

Grade 5 students participated in a Show and Tell activity on soil composition, erosion, and conservation.
They explained that soil is made up of minerals, organic matter, water, and air, all of which help plants grow.
Students also presented informative charts on soil erosion, highlighting how wind, water, and human activities wash away the topsoil, making the land dry and unfit for farming. They discussed key causes of erosion, such as deforestation, overgrazing, and poor farming practices.
To address these challenges, students shared effective soil conservation methods, including planting trees, using cover crops, and building terraces.
The activity was both fun and educational, providing a valuable learning experience for all!
